Crucible was engaged to develop a plan for upgrading the field lighting on WSDCC’s primary training and playing fields at Graceville Memorial Park.

The existing lighting on the site had been developed over a number of years within often tight budget constraints. Coverage of the park was limited and lighting levels were inconsistent and considerably below the standards required for both competition and training for cricket at all levels, but particularly for premier grade cricket players. The existing system was likewise inadequate for other (hockey and rugby) sporting club users of the site.

Crucible undertook a survey of existing lighting on the site and evaluated them against appropriate standards for community sports facilities. Options were developed for different levels of lighting upgrade. Concept lighting designs were developed and capital cost estimates were developed for budgeting purposes.
